Weekly Update for January 4-8

General Notes

Welcome back.  Hopefully all of our South students, staff, and families had a wonderful and relaxing two-week break.

Party Invitations:  In an effort to avoid unnecessary and avoidable distractions within the classroom, Grandville Public Schools has determined that it is appropriate to set an Invitation Guideline.  Rather than prohibit students from passing out invitations at school entirely, students who pass out invitations at school (either before, during or after), must invite all classmates or all classmates of the student’s gender. Understandably, not everyone can or will be invited to every party. The Invitation Guideline only applies to invitations that are passed out at school. Parents and students, as always, are free to invite as many or as few students as they wish, but should to do so by regular mail, e-mail, or phone call.
