Our children receive the greatest education when South’s dedicated parents and teachers work as a team.

The enthusiasm, support, and involvement of our parents and teachers inspire our children to do their best.

Together our kids can achieve wonderful things.

Hot Air Balloon Rides/ Assembly

When the PTC had an opportunity to have the Remax hot air balloon visit South, we thought it would be fun to give Mr. Shultz a retirement “send off” so we sent him on a hot air balloon ride over South Elementary along with our new principal Mr. Roberts. They took a tethered balloon ride, followed by several members of the teaching staff. After the balloon ride, the students helped to pack away the balloon and had an assembly to learn the science behind the balloon. The weather was great and the students and staff had a lot of fun! For more information and photos, see our Facebook page!

Volunteers needed to serve snow cones at Field Day

We need 4 parents to help serve snow cones at Field Day on Thursday. 2 in the AM shift and 2 in the PM shift. If you can help, please contact Andrea Gray at 616-608-5354 or email akgray@pella.com. It’s fun, easy and the look on your child’s face when they see Mom or Dad serving snow cones is priceless! You can still observe the field day activities while helping to prepare snow cones. Please consider helping. :)
