Weekly Update for November 10-14

This Week:

Monday, November 10th

During this week, South Elementary will be sponsoring a Food Drive to benefit local food pantries. A table will be set up in the lobby and donations will be excepted through Friday, November 14th.  Donation suggestions include: soup, canned meat, rice, cereal, spaghetti sauce, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, pasta products, boxed dinners, and personal care products.

There will be a Reproductive Health Parent Preview tonight for parents of students grades 4th-6th. The Preview will take place in the Administration Building located at 3839 Prairie Street.

Wednesday, November 12th

The Good News Club will not meet today.

Friday, November 14th

Please join us for the 3rd PTC Meeting of 2014/2015 school year at 9:00 a.m.  All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Day care will NOT be available. Meetings generally last between 1 and 2 hours, but please join us for any portion of the meeting you are able to attend.

Upcoming Next Week:

Monday, November 17th

The first South Skating Party of the school year at Tarry Hall is tonight from 6-8 pm.  The cost of admission is $5.00 and all skate rental is $1.00 extra.  Tarry Hall offers drinks and snacks for sale.  Parents or other responsible adult or guardian must attend with the student.

Wednesday, November 19th

Today is the Buffalo Wild Wing Fundraiser.  All day (11:30 a.m. to close) South Elementary PTC will earn 20% of all food and drink sales.  A Flyer will go home in Friday Folders and is available at the link below.  Please feel free to print and give copies to your non-South friends and neighbors.  Note that qualifying sales can be dine-in or carry-out.  Also, Wednesday nights are “Kids Nights” at Buffalo Wild Wings with reduced kids’ meals, crafts, and an ice cream sundae bar.

PTC {Parents Teachers Children} Group To share as parents and/or guardians and to promote community spirit for South Elementary School. To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, and community. To assist the faculty in undertaking school activities such as conferences, health and safety programs, and the like if so requested.
