The PTC would like to host a Winter Carnival in January, but without support, this will not be possible. The Carnival has been scheduled for Friday, January 29, 2016 and therefore planning must begin immediately. If you are interested in helping to plan this amazing event, please sign up here: Carnival Sign-Up The PTC must have 10 volunteers to assist with planning (not volunteers for the day of the Carnival) by Friday, November 6, 2015, otherwise the Winter Carnival will be canceled.
The PTC is currently looking for an individual to act as the Labels for Education (most commonly found on Campbell’s Soup) and Spartan Label Coordinator. These programs are similar to BoxTops. Last year the PTC was able to exchange Labels for Education for gift cards which were used to purchase more than 10 new banquet tables for the school. Please contact Co-Volunteer Coordinators Kennedy Bisbee at email@example.com or Samantha Siegert at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Copy Crew is a new service which will be available to South teachers and staff this school year. The time commitment each week will vary from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on the needs of teachers and staff.

Shoparoo is a free iPhone and Android app that turns pictures of your shopping receipts into donations. Snap pictures of your receipts from any store that sells grocery items to earn Roo Points. Shoparoo will assign points for every receipt! At end of the Shaparoo fundraising year, the Roo points will be converted to dollars. 1000 Points = $2, 5000 points = $10, 10,000 points = $20, and so on.
Snap pictures of your receipts from any restaurant or other retailer to earn entries into Shoparoo’s $1,000 monthly sweepstakes and $15,000 yearly sweepstakes! Each receipt counts as an entry into both monthly and yearly sweepstakes.
The first 20 people to join using referral code GON56255 will earn a bonus 100 Roo points after submitting their first receipt. Once signed up, share the app with friends and family and if they sign using your referral code, you will earn an extra 150 Roo points and they earn 100 Roo points after scanning their first receipt. Anyone can join and choose to donate to South.
You can also choose to represent a particular grade at South. In October, the 2nd Grade had 6,150 Roo points, 3rd Grade had 1,890 Roo points, 1st Grade had 1,500, and Kindergarten had 970 Roo points. Can the 5th Grade do better? How about 4th Grade? In three weeks, and with only 17 receipt submitting supporters, South has earned 20,635 Roo points. We have now earned $20 and are less than 5,000 points away from $50. .
This fundraiser runs from August 1, 2015 to July 31, 2016. We will receive our check for this year in October 2016.
