Family Fare Cash for Class is happening this week from November 22nd to November 28th. Purchases made between November 22-28 with your “yes” card will automatically be credited to our school account. The program is tied directly to your “yes” Rewards card. You can choose up to two (2) schools to link your yes card. Go to Cash for Class website to link your card to the schools of your choice. You only have to link your “yes” card once and you will not have to remember to tell the cashier during the event weeks – once you link your card – it will automatically calculate the donation for the school chosen. Already a “yes” member but don’t have an on-line account set up? Just visit the yes website at Cash for Class , click on ‘First-Time to Site?’ and follow the steps to complete your on-line account registration. During the registration process, you will be able to link your school code (s).
The Senior Executive Board of Grandville High School is partnering with Toys for Tots this holiday season. Students at the High School, Middle School, and all Grandville Elementary Schools have been asked to collect new toys to help a less fortunate child experience the joy of Christmas. Toys will be collected from November 30th to December 11th. The classroom that collects the most toys will receive a visit and surprise delivery from Santa. If you have any questions regarding the above, please contact the Senior Executive Board at the High School.
As many parents know, Edwin, a man from Uganda, came to South earlier this year to discuss the assistance he provides to a small school in a tiny, remote village of Uganda. In order to assist Edwin and do something special for the students at his school, the South faculty and staff would like to help Edwin throw a Christmas party for his students. Therefore, they have requested that in lieu of traditional holiday gifts, student and parents make a monetary donation to help provide this Christmas party. Without these funds, the party will not be possible. Edwin has promised to video tape the party and send it to South to share with our students. Again, if you were considering purchasing a gift for a faculty member or staff, they have asked that the money, or a portion of it, be donated towards the Christmas party in Uganda. Checks may be made payable to “South Elementary.” If you have any questions, please contact your student’s teacher.
