REMINDER: Please review the attached Map and Guidelines which outlines the Drop-off and Pick-up procedures at South. This information has been posted to the blog and has been sent home with students in Friday Folders. Student Drop-off and Pick-up at South can run smoothly, efficiently, and safely if ALL parents follow a few simple guidelines. Most importantly, if you are in a drop off line, you must remain in your vehicle. If you must exit your vehicle to assist your student for any reason, please park in a designated parking space. The classroom Valentine’s Parties will take place today. Thank you to our Room Parents for making this an exciting day and to all of the Classroom Volunteers who help to make the parties special for the students. If you are planning to volunteer at a classroom Valentine’s Day Party, you must sign-in at the front entrance. As you know, your students’ safety is a top priority at South and it is important that staff be able to determine not only who is in the building, but where they can be found at all times. Further, due to classroom sizes, the number of party volunteers, the use of hallways for party games, along with the fact that parties may be taking place at different times (i.e. some students will be receiving educational instruction while other class parties are ongoing), it is important that volunteers remain with the class for which they have volunteered.
