Weekly Update for February 15-19

General Notes

Volunteers are needed each week for Copy Crew.  Volunteers will make copies, laminate, or do other office activities for teachers and staff.  If you are able to help, please sign up at Copy Crew.  The time commitment each day will vary from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on the needs of teachers and staff.

REMINDER:  Please review the attached Map and Guidelines which outlines the Drop-off and Pick-up procedures at South.  This information has been posted to the blog and has been sent home with students in Friday Folders.  Student Drop-off and Pick-up at South can run smoothly, efficiently, and safely if ALL parents follow a few simple guidelines.  Most importantly, if you are in a drop off line, you must remain in your vehicle.  If you must exit your vehicle to assist your student for any reason, please park in a designated parking space.  South Drop-Off and Pick-Up Map

Volunteers Needed

The South PTC and Gents and Dolls Dance Committee is looking for Volunteers for the Gents and Dolls Dance.  Please consider helping.  Follow the link below to sign up: Gents and Dolls Volunteer Sign-Up  Please note that this event is for Fathers, Uncles, Friends, etc. and our female students.  If mothers would like to be present during the event, please sign up to volunteer. If you sign up, you will be assigned a task or station.  It is the hope of the Dance Committee that the only mothers in the gymnasium are volunteering at the event.

The March Pizza Hut Fundraiser Night falls on one of two Parent/Teacher Conferences nights. It has been suggested that the PTC pre-sell pizzas for pick-up at conferences.  The PTC Board is looking for volunteers to lead this event.  The volunteers would work together to create a flyer for pre-ordering, distribute the flyer in Friday Folders, collect Orders and money, place the order with Pizza Hut, arrange for delivery or pick-up of the pizzas, and handle distribution at South.  If you interested, please contact Samantha Siegert at sam.andmike@yahoo.com.
