South PTC News 12.11.16

Good evening South families!  We had a great PTC meeting on Friday 12/9!

The Daddy-Daughter Dance is being moved to March 10th.  We have someone willing to lead up the coordination of the this event.  We’re looking for a few others to help plan, if you’re interested in helping to plan the event, sign up HERE!
The Mother Son Night is March 29th.

Reminder Classroom parties are scheduled for December 22nd for almost all classrooms.  There is also a Jets Pizza Fundraiser that night!  Our food fundraisers have been going great!
Hat Day Fundraiser for Shop with a Cop was a great success, thank you all for your support.  Principal Roberts was very excited by the turnout.
Mr. Roberts also expressed his gratitude for everyone that brought in food last week.  The staff very much appreciated it.  Jody in the office has been a huge help filling in as well.

The PTC is happy to report we will be able to fund a few other items Mr Roberts has requested- some new balls for the playground and a drone for 6th grade science activities!
We are also working to get every student a t-shirt!  We hope to be able to order these and have them in January.  I’m starting to collect sizing at this link HERE.  Feel free to fill it out multiple times if you have more students or more shirts to order. The student shirts will be at no cost.  The parent or sibling shirts will be $10 or less.  We are working on the pricing and the artwork for them.

Carnival is coming up quick- January 20th will be here in no time at all!
Volunteers are still needed to make this event happen! Sign up HERE!
I’ve visited a ton of local stores asking for donations- if you know of any local company that may donate for events please contact me- Jackie- 616-366-1760 or  I’m also posting on our Facebook Event Page for the Carnival for things we may need- such as creating the games for the kids to play. Any & all ideas or suggestions are welcome!

Thanks for reading and all your support!  Stay warm & safe out there!
