South PTC News- week of 10.23.17

Hello South families!  Hope you enjoyed your day off today!

Thank you to everyone who came out & shopped our Sale event on Saturday!

Our Book Exchange collection continues this week.  Bring in your kids gently loved books they no longer read, and they can “exchange” them for new to them books! I appreciate everyone that has sent in books so far!  Also, feel free to send in books and include a note if your student doesn’t need to get as many books as they donate.  Extra books left over will be offered to our teachers and library!  I’ll be waiting outside (or just inside the doors) at drop off each morning this week and kids will have the chance to do their shopping on Friday October 27th.  Also if your student will be bringing home a lot of books on Friday, you may want to make arrangements to pick them up after school 🙂

Coming up this Friday October 27th there are 3 dining fundraisers to choose from- sure to keep everyone in your family happy!  Choose from Panda Express, Potbelly Sandwiches, or Tom & Chee!  They are all located in the “Bucktown Shopping Center” near Cabelas/Target.

Next week Tuesday October 31st is Halloween.  The students will have their annual costume parade at 2pm.  Parents & Grandparents are welcome to come watch.  Room parents- dont forget, if you cannot get donations for your party, the PTC will reimburse you $25- make sure to keep your receipts!

We are working on getting the Grandville gear website open up for another two weeks to accept orders if you missed the first round!  We’ve heard from quite a few people who want some of the gear, now that they see others wearing it!  I’ll post details once we know when it will be online again.

The Teachers wanted to pass along their sincere gratitude for everyone who contributed to their Conference Night meals!  Thank you South families!

I would also like to pass along a date change.  The Mother/Son Night has been moved to March 16th.  More details will be released as we get closer, but its going to be a really fun night!

I am anxiously awaiting (stalking) for a report on the Orange Leaf results from last week.  As soon as I hear the results, I will be sure to share on our Facebook page. Regardless if we advance or not, we still earn 20% of all the sales marked for South, so Thank you!

Lots more in the works for our awesome school.  As always, Thanks for your support!
